J.Lo and Bon Jovi to appear on 'Idol'

Why are you people still watching this show? The show is so sad. They get their best ratings during the time that they have the worst singers on and people still careabout this show. Can we just let this show die please? Now we even get to see some professionals that kind of suck too.

LOS ANGELES -
Jennifer Lopez,Gwen Stefani,Tony Bennett,Diana Ross and Bon Jovi are among nine musical stars who are set to appear on "American Idol" this season.

Others to appear as celebrity coaches or guests of the hit show will include former Bee Gee Barry Gibb, country singer Martina McBride, Scottish singer Lulu and Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits, host Ryan Seacrest announced on the show Thursday.

Former "Idol" winner Carrie Underwood and former finalist Kellie Pickler also will perform on the show. source

I had to post about this because I saw it on the news so much yesterday, but not for the reason most people seem to care. Watching the "verdict" I guess you could call it was real emotional in the courtroom. Now don't get me wrong. For people close to the situation it is an emotional thing, but the judge? What the hell is he crying about? The guy broke down like this was one of his relatives. I don't get it. Someone please explain to me why I shouldn't have laughed at this.

Credit Cards

When I think about credit cards I think about being in college and getting $20,000 credit limits while having a job that I was earning less than $5,000 a year at. All these companies during that time jumped at the chance to give me 0% credit cards with 0% balance transfers
even though I really had no business having another card. This aspect of credit cards has really hurt many young people that don’t understand the benefits of cards and how they affect their credit.

Now, as I’ve grown older, these cards are really indispensable for such things as emergencies, or really just so I don’t have to carry large amounts of cash around. Only difference is that I actually earn money now and can afford to pay them off every month. Credit cards can be great, but they can also be detrimental to those with no self control. Learning how to use them is the key to getting the most out of them.

Britney picked luxurious rehab center

Britney is living the lap of luxury, drug free for a couple days at least I guess. This is what the 4th rehab center she has gotten into in the last week? Kids are about to get taken away and she is pretty much hit bottom. Well that would be waht you would think, but obviously she hasn't taken to a rehab center yet so we shall see.

Britney Spears was canceled Thursday as reports surfaced that she was back in rehab.

Spears returned to the Promises Malibu Treatment Center late Wednesday, according to reports from TMZ, "The Insider" and "Extra." Her mother, Lynne Spears, drove her to the center, "Extra" and "The Insider" said.

The 25-year-old pop star previously left the Promises center Wednesday, according to "The Insider," less than a day after arriving. The center specializes in treating drug and alcohol abuse.

When I was going through college there were some big time companies coming a long that were virtually changing the world. One of those companies was Cisco. They became the worldwide leader in internet networking and it isn't hard to figure out that this included

Video conferencing has become a stable of productivity for businesses, universities, government agencies, and many other walks of life. Using one to actually take classes online has been the most beneficial to myself, but it certainly isn't the only way it is useful. It allows anyone to communicate more effectively to those they need to acrossed the world by being able to see them almost like they are in the same room. I'm sure many of you have used a webcam to chat online, but put this into a broader scale with much better equipment and you should be able to see how effective this form of networking is. Technology is an amazing thing.

Pretty weak coverage on this if I do say so myself, but another freakish story I suppose. The details are pretty sketchy on this so I'm having a hard time figuring out what exatcly happened. So a guy was trying to rob him and just decided to die in his house while doing so? More information please.

SAN FRANCISCO - A Haight-Ashbury man returning home from an extended vacation tripped and fell on a corpse in his bedroom after finding his apartment had been ransacked, police said.

Authorities have not released the name of the resident or the victim, identified only as a white male, but are treating the death as suspicious, said Sgt. Neville Gittens.

Cat bag apparel irks Florida officials

Durr....what is wrong with these people? What about those stupid dog sweaters? I've never heard of anyone getting upset about that. Must be a slow day for the I Love Animals More Than Humans activists this week. TAMPA, Fla. - Animal control authorities are not amused by a fast food chain's marketing stunt encouraging customers to dress their cats in a special take out bag.

Tampa-based Checkers Drive-in Restaurants Inc. is distributing "Rapcat" bags designed with cutaway areas for the cat's legs and tail. The cat's head sticks out the opening of the bag, which is designed to look like to a basketball jersey and gold chain worn by the hip-hop Rapcat puppet in Checkers commercials.

Favorite RockStartup Episode?

RockStartup is what you would call some reality tv on the internet. It is the making of PayPerPost basically and an ongoing look at how this start up goes about doing things. Starts out with Ted Murphy grabbing a few million dollars to get out of the gates and then we get to look at everything that goes into running and promoting it with some fun videos.

Today they would like me to pick my favorite video for you and give a bit of a description on it. This won't be hard at all for me. Of course it is Episode 6 with the Promo Girls in it. They go to a Florida/Florida State football game to promote PPP looking their best. You can't mention football and women in the same breath and not think I'm going to perk up a bit. They get on the big old PPP monster truck and roll into to Tallahassee to hit up the bars and the pre-game free for all to try and get as many sign ups as possible for PayPerPost. Did they get how many they need? Ted wanted them to get 500 sign up s at the game and the bars the night before so they had their work cut out for them. You’ll have to watch to find out if they did. Like it matters….I already told you there are hot girls in it.

It's My Market Classifieds

Ok...so I go to this site and I was there because I was looking at the community blogs and noticed that there was quite a bit of stuff here actually. They have car classifieds, a dating service, news, weather, local directories, you name it. They also have a neat little contests page that they have recent photo contests to bvview. You can browse through the entries there and look at all the other features they have. itsmymarket.com is an interesting little site. Take a look around and see everyhting they have and maybe even find yourself contributing eventually. You'll probably want to go over and create a blog yourself as well and get in on the action.

Alexa and Page Rank extension for Firefox

I've been using this thing for quite some time now and it is just one handy little tool if you are interestede in this sort of thing. It shows up down on the status bar in the Firefox browser and when you visit a web page it shows you immediately what that page's PR and Alex rank are. IT also allows you to see all the pages indexed on the major search engines and gives you a quick link to the Alex traffic report for that site.

Cash Reserves Can Lower Mortgage Interest?

Well I guess I haven’t heard of anything like this before. This One Account mortgage idea states that you can pay lower interest on your mortgage by simply having a bit of a cash reserve. While having this savings in your account it offsets against your mortgage balance and in turn reduces the amount of the overall principal in which interest is charged. They even state that you can take a break from mortgage payments when money gets tight as well as pay a bit extra with out penalty.

This was something interesting that I thought I would share. Obviously I recommend that you venture over to the mortgages page on their site and read more about this. I can’t imagine you wouldn’t want to if you had a current mortgage and cash reserve anyways.

Eek!: Men flee after seeing 'giant rat'

I'm a pretty decent sized guy myself so I know how these guys feel in regards to filthy rodents. I'm not shy to say that I have ducked and ran at the site of a bat in my home before. Only getting rid of it with a full suit of armor that I created to fend it off. HEad fully covered with tools for the hunt in hand I was able to fend it off, but just a random encounter freaks me out.

VIRGINIA, Minn. - A furry, uninvited guest had manly men at an Iron Range tire shop shrieking and hopping on desks.

"It was pretty humorous," said conservation officer Dan Starr, who filed a report on the critter's break-in. "Here were these big, burly outdoors guys running around screaming."

Taconite Tire employees arrived at work on Monday to find what they thought was a giant rat inside the store.

The greatest thing about the internet for me growing up has been the emergence and the ease at which so many artists can produce music and share it with us. I love music, but I like to hear things that aren't mainstream most of the time. I go to local bars and take in the music of the local bands and love to see the different genres. I'm a big fan of all types of music.

Tiny duckling has rare mutation: 4 legs

Just another mutated animal. I always tell you about them becasue they are of interest to me, but it is just so strange how often it seems to occur. I don't think I've gone more than 2 weeks between stories about some sort of animal who has some sort of mutation. I guess I should keep more track of this. We may have some whacky scientists ou tthere doing some crazy DNA experiments in the wild.

LONDON - Webbed feet run in Stumpy's family, but he's the first to have four of them.

A rare mutation has left the eight-day-old duckling with two nearly full-sized legs behind the two he runs on. Nicky Janaway, a duck farmer in New Forest, Hampshire, 95 miles southwest of London, showed the duckling to reporters Saturday.

"It was absolutely bizarre. I was thinking 'he's got too many legs' and I kept counting 'one, two, three, four,'" Janaway said.
