Michael Jackson's Doctor Likely to Be Charged with Manslaughter

Oh boy...as if Michael himself wasn't an odd fellow, the case surrounding his death seems to be getting quite a bit more interesting as well. On top of likely being arrested for some sort of malpractice in the coming weeks, Dr. Conrad Murray, has issued a statement on YOUTUBE to thank his friends and supporters. Here it is, although comments are turned off:

According to anyone involved on the side of the district attorney this is nothing more than a PR stunt to gain sympathy for himself.

“This was a total PR stunt,” said former Broward County prosecutor Kenneth Padowitz.

“I think what they’re trying to do is humanize him, trying to make him seem like this is somebody that maybe you could know and this is not a bad guy—that’s what they’re trying to do,” Padowitz said. “And for that limited purpose, it probably was effective….

“Is it a transparent attempt to get feelings in his favor? Yeah. It’s a gimmick.”

Law enforcement sources previously told FOXNews.com that Murray admitted he gave the King of Pop the intravenous anesthetic propofol to help him sleep just hours before his death — and that propofol was at least a contributing factor in the 50-year-old entertainer's death.

Should have just stuck with being a celebrity diet pills distributor rather than getting nuts with MJ.

This whole thing sounds insane. While this is manslaughter, which means it was somewhat accidental, there are still thoughts about charging him with more. I fail to see any motive for this doctor to intentionally put MJ in any harm. This is clearly his meal ticket. I assume he was afraid to anger MJ and gave him whatever he wanted, but actively trying to off him doesn't make any sense, but the speculation is there.
