Madonna Asks Media to Leave Britney Alone

Julie Jacobson, AP

Ok, Madonna. You may want to ask Britney to quit trying to find out when the media will be somewhere and get her face in the tabloids first though.

"They need to step off," she told the "Yo on E!" satellite radio show. "For real ... Let's go save her."

Save her from the media? How about save her from herself first. She needs to look into some travel deals and fly the coop to get herself back together.

"She knows Britney, (but) she doesn't really watch TV or read gossip stuff," the pop star said in the interview. "I think she sort of gets the drift of what's going on, and I think she feels very protective of Britney."

Anyways, let's just go a head and assume that Madonna just wants to be in the news in this case and is latching on to the human headline "Britney Spears".

X-Files 2 Announced

Not officially I guess, but there are some teaser trailers roaming around.

Who knows where the new one will lead them. Hangar 18, Corpus Christi real estate, some guy's shed?

"While this is not a mythology movie, it's true to everything that's come before," Spotnitz said at the William S. Paley Television Festival. "It's true to Mulder and Scully, who they are and where they would be this point in their lives and all of the experiences that they've had."

The film is due out July 25.

Carter was tightlipped about the title.

"I can't tell you," he said. "I know what I want it to be, but Fox has some ideas of their own."
