Ukeleles vs. Guitars
I always wondered how different playing a ukulele was to playing a traditional guitar. Browsing some ukulele from guitar center just made me think about the differences a bit again today, but I've never actually picked one up before. The sound is completely different of course and much more twangy, and they have less strings for one. At least the traditional ukulele anyways. I guess it would compare more with a bass guitar in that regard, although their sounds share nothing in common.

Good Studiologic Keyboard
While searching for a good studiologic keyboard I wanted to find a trimmed down selection of the ones I would most likely want. That became quite easy when I was fitted with a list of some of the best rated STudiologic keyboards out there. Not only do they all have the sound I want they are all priced similarly, with a couple lower price exceptions that still look like they may fit the needs I have. STill...there is one that looks like it is almost gold (it's actually more of a mustard color), which is awesome.

Rivera Amplifiers
The Rivera Tube Amplifiers show a design that will make you feel giddy that you are actually playing music through it. Amps don't tend to get me all that excited from visual design much, but the exceptional Rivera amp at musicians friend give me a bit of goosebumps seeing the classic look and style on the outside of these amps with modern technology inside. Looks will make you stop and look in the window, but the sound is what really matters of course. The Rivera amps have the most amazing tones that you will hear. Might even say they reach perfection.

Marshall 2061x 20W Reissue
If you want to go back to the late 1960s and early 1970s of rocking you might want to check out the reissues of some of the Marshall product lines. Specifically the marshall 2061x at guitar center. This glorious old school amp is a hand-wired reissue of the model 2061, produced from 1967 to 1973. With 20W of power, it churned out golden crunchy tones with depth and character. Giving you sounds that you just can't get with the newest amps of today. At least not the real sound. You may be able to come close with a similar sound, but nothing like this, and certainly you won't have the classic style and look of one of these.

Snare Drum Kits
When looking for the top selling snare drum kit, I came to quite a few that are considered the "best", or "most Popular", but I eventually settled on one that I think will serve my uses (A gift. I certainly don't have the drummer's rhythm...lol). A snare drum kit at guitar center is really where I have gone for all my music stuff lately simply because i have found what I needed every time I compared. Quite the selection of drum kits and of course guitar stuff. Just plain has the drum kit I was looking for and it is already annoying the parents of my cousin as we speak. ;)

Chocolates For the Birthday Girl
When you are getting your stockpile of gifts for the lady in your life you know what you have to do. Be a bit romantic . Start out with some chocolates for the birthday girl to go along with the flowers. Unless you are money bags and can afford expensive jewelry you need to be a bit more creative.
Finding birthday gifts for her is a lot easier I think than finding them for him. The ladies actually like romantic and "cute" stuff. Us guys could care less, and want fancy electronics most of the time, or we already bought what we wanted. We're a bit more practical. Girls like to know you put some thought into it. Maybe hook her up with Chocolate covered Birthday Berries & a Birthday Bear, or a Cheesecake Trio & Full Dozen Gourmet Dipped Fancy Berries.

What is the September birthstone?
If you are unaware, every month of the year has a birthstone related to it. Many people like to wear their various birthstones on jewelry such as a necklace, earrings, or just a plain old ring. Someone asked the other day "what is the birthstone for September?" and I did not know so I looked it up. You can see it in the link there along with the birthstones for all the other months.
To keep you from guessing of course I will let you in on what it is right here. The September birthstone is none other than the lovely sapphire, which represents wisdom, love, faith, and purity.. To find out the birthstones for the rest of the months check out the link above.

80 year olds on facebook?
Thanks to Wm Rowe
My eight-three year old Aunt recently got DIRECT TV And Internet at her home. She was delighted and wanted me to come over and show her how to work the television and also how to get on Facebook. I was surprised that she knew about Facebook. She said that a lot of her friends had recently created accounts so that they could keep up with their family. I showed her how to use the site and helped her create a profile. Much to my surprise, by the end of her first week, she already had seventy friends! Most of her friends on Facebook were her age. I never thought about her demographic being tech-savvy. She figured out how to upload and share pictures, write on walls, and post articles via-Facebook. She also has a habit of commenting on everything. My Aunt comments on any status update I make or photo I post. She always wants to chat when we are both on Facebook. I usually get on and sign right off, but she has been keeping me busy with activity. I don’t know what I got myself into!

Talking motorcycles with my coworkers
Guest post written by Alex Lee
For the longest time when I would carpool with my coworkers back and forth, the talk would be all about motorcycles. Except I was the only one that didn't own a motorcycle. But now that isn't a problem because I just bought one about a month or so ago. I wanted one for some time now, but after hearing them talk about their bikes all the time, I really decided that I needed to have one.
I mentioned to them that I was going to buy a bike and they gave me a lot of device. But I also decided to do my own research, as well. I was online one night looking up different bike models and while I was online I happened upon the website www.get.wildblue.com. I read through it some and after that I decided to switch over my home internet service to the provider.
It turns out at least half of the information they gave me was true, but it was really close at that halfway mark. They did give me some good direction about what to get though, I'll give them that much. We're already planning our first bike ride together.

Remember Studying For the SAT?
My sister just got done with high school and she had all the fun of taking all the college entrance exams and the infamous SAT. While it has been a while for me I remember one thing that wasn't done when I was taking it. WE didn't have a whole lot of sat prep courses available to us. I don't know if it was just poor counseling at our school, but I am pretty sure I went into that test completely blind.
These days it isn't so awful for SAT practice testing. You can go online and find tons of SAT prep courses to help get prepared for it (I was in early internet days where all there was to do was e-mail and chat :-/). I don't remember even taking the SAT to be honest. I only remember taking the ACT. I did a pACT which is a practice test once before it and then I took the ACT a few weeks later.
Must be nice having all this available now for studying. It certainly would ahve helped us when we were taking these tests.

Online Bachelor's Degree From an Accreited Online University
Sure it might not be difficult to find an online university that has courses in what you are looking for, but many times they don't even have the right accreditation for you to get a degree worth your while.
If you aren't careful in checking out the school properly you might just waste all the money you spent on a degree that has little to no clout when you get done, or even be able to use your credits later to continue somewhere else.
Places like Western Governors University offer online degrees and even offer bachelors degree online with proper accreditation.
Western Governors University is nationally accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). WGU is also regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, one of the major accrediting commissions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
Regional accreditation is considered the highest form of accreditation given to institutions. The Northwest Commission is also responsible for the accreditation of other major institutions such as the University of Washington, University of Oregon, Gonzaga University, University of Utah, University of Idaho, and Brigham Young University, to name just a few.
