At Comi-Con this year it was revealed that the sequel to Man of Steel will include Batman. Not as a friend, however. Batman and Superman will be at odds as they are in the Dark Knight comic book series. Henry Cavill is expected to play Superman once again, but no announcement has been made about who is going to take on the role of Batman. It was teased that the 1980 comic Dark Knight Returns will have a role as part of the story, however.
After announcing the plan to bring the two superheroes together, Snyder issued a statement via Warner Bros. saying the two would be fighting each other, and conceded this might surprise some.
"Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest superheroes in the world," said Snyder, who has been confirmed as director of the as-yet unnamed sequel.

The endless debate about a fight with the two will continue as we know all too well that neither is going to end up finished for good.
This continues the "dark" portrayals of the super heroes we have seen in the past decade. The movie is expected to be out in 2015 with Christopher Nolan involved as well. Possibly being some sort of Justice League movie in the future planned too.
