lol.
Ok...so I like Karate Kid when it first came out. Watching it now it sort of sucks, but it still has one of my favorite lines to yell at a sporting event:
"Put him in a body bag!"
Anyways, Will Smith's son, Jaden is being pegged as the Next Karate Kid for an upcoming remake of the "classic?" movie where Ralph Machio starred.
Karate Kid isn't the only '80s classic getting the remake of a modern furniture treatment I guess. A rumored remake of Footloose "the musical" starring Zac Efron - is said to be coming in 2010 with High School Musical director Kenny Ortega running the show.
Oh joy...can't wait.

Nicole Kidman & Charlize Theron to Play Man & Wife in Film
This is a pretty weird story...Not just that they are playing man and wife, but the story the movie they are making is based on.
"In the 1920s, the male Einar (to be played by Kidman) posed as a woman for his painter wife Greta (to be played by Theron).
The finished portraits became all the rage in Copenhagen, which prompted Greta to encourage Einar to dress as a woman.
By 1931, however, the husband took his role another step and underwent a landmark sex-change operation that had repercussions not only in their home but also around the world."
I guess it takes all kinds, and it takes Hollywood to think all kinds want to see movies like this. I was hoping this was going to be something hot that we would be drooling on our home theater carpeting over, but I guess it will be just strange. Charlize Theron is still hawt though. Kidman too I guess although she is getting a bit older.
