Keep people out of wash, label warns
Typical to see a moronic story associated with Detroit, eh? Pretty funny little article though.

DETROIT - Don't clean your kids in the washing machine. Don't dry your cell phone in the microwave. And be sure not to read the phone book while driving. Those are among the winning entries in this year's Wacky Warning Label Contest, run by an anti-lawsuit group.
Backers of the right to sue have a warning of their own - don't be so quick to poke fun at labels, which help save lives. They say the contest is part of an effort to pass laws that shield businesses from liability for those they hurt.
The Wacky Warning contest winners were chosen from about 150 nominations received by Michigan Lawsuit Abuse Watch, said the group's president, Robert B. Dorigo Jones. The group picked five finalists, and callers to WOMC-FM's Dick Purtan show chose the winners.
The top vote-getter was a warning tag from a front-load washing machine.
"DO NOT put any person in this washer," it read.

Bra slows bullet fired into air in Fla.
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A woman watching New Year's Eve fireworks from a picnic table found out that her bra can do more than lift and support: It also slowed a falling bullet.
The .45-caliber bullet struck Debbie Bingham, 46, after someone fired a gun into the air about 20 minutes before midnight. She still needed stitches, but the wound might have been much worse except for the bra strap, police spokesman George Kajtsa said.
Bingham, who was in town from Atlanta, said she is thankful for the undergarment, which she said was "very cheap."
"I'd love to have a couple more of those bras," she said.

1870s dead horse photo sparks mystery
WAUSAU, Wis. - It's a cliche, beating a dead horse, but it sure fits what's happening in a southeast Wisconsin city trying to unravel the mystery of an 1870s photo of a stovepipe-hatted man sitting on a dead horse in the middle of a dusty, deserted street.
The black-and-white picture taken in Sheboygan between 1876 and 1884 has sparked curiosity, speculation and jokes from people nationwide after a newspaper published a 2007 calendar with the scene. A response from readers prompted the newspaper to report about it. From there, it took off on the Internet and blogging.

Calf Born with 2 Faces
Nothing like a nuclear waste baby or whatever this thing is. Everyone loves freaks of nature. Hard to believe how often things like this seem to happen now.
Full story
RURAL RETREAT, Va. - One of the newest arrivals at Kirk Heldreth's dairy farm is drawing crowds. A calf with two faces was born Dec. 27 at Heldreth Dairy Farm, and word has spread in southwest Virginia as residents flock to his farm.
The animal is normal from its tail until its unusually large head. The calf breathes out of two noses and has two tongues, which move independently, according to Heldreth. There appears to be a single socket containing two eyes where the heads split.

Employee Reviews Made Easy
How often do you have to actually request a review at work? Seems like I never get a review when I'm supposed to and it is rather irritating since the review typically means I'm going to get a raise.
I am going to leave a little note to my boss that he needs to get some Employee Review Software and hopefully he gets the point.

Michigan Gets Smoked by USC
Another year. Another Bowl loss for the Wolverines. They really looked motivated after getting ousted from teh National Championship game against Ohio State. Usc just destroyed them in every way.
