People lined up outside the crowd control rope barriers to get in for the midnight showing of "The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey" Thursday to rack up over $13 million for the show. Overseas showings earned around $27 million.
Good for a 3 hour movie at this time of day, but it didn't crack the top 10 of midnight releases. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" is the no. 1 spot holder with over $45 million for this type of show. The rest includes two other "Potter" pictures, four "Twilight" sequels, "The Dark Knight Rises," "The Hunger Games" and "The Avengers."

Frankie Muniz Suffers Mini-Stroke
Pretty crazy. Dude is only 27 years old. His friends noticed that he was slurring words and having a hard time understanding them. Was taken to the hospital and got it all taken care of.
He tweeted that he had a "mini-stroke". I'm no doctor, but I'm guessing that if you have a stroke at the age of 27 you have something seriously wrong with you.
"Frankie Muniz @frankiemuniz I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a "Mini Stroke", which was not fun at all. Have to start taking care of my body! Getting old!"
Really dude? You need to get some tests done man. You can't be that out of shape. Unless...well...I gues you are getting coked out of your mind daily or something. I'm sure that would be a reason to have a STROKE at the age of 27. Time to spend more time lookign for ways to speed up xp on your old PC instead of drugs maybe?

LOL...TMZ Trying to Start a Story and Failing
TMZ posted some article about how the voice for Elmo from Seasame Street was a guy that was having sex with under-aged children. Terrible. Then they started this rant about how it was going to cost the company millions in Christmas sales due to it being pulled off the shelves.
Then about 15 minutes later they post an article about how they called a bunch of Toys 'R Us stores and not a single one has pulled them and said sales are as high as they ever were. Most employees not even knowing about the story. LOL
Give them trophies at quicktrophy.com for the quickest failure of trying to make a story this week.
Why would they? Why would a little kid know anything about it either? Who cares. Quit trying so hard to make a scandal bigger than it is. The guy is aperv. He'll go to jail. End of story. Worry about the kids he molested more than how much a stuffed animal will sell for idiots.

George Lucas Plans to Use Bulk of $4 Billion From Star Wars Sale For Charity
After a deal with Disney for the Lucasfilms "Star Wars" franchise netted him over $4 Billion, Lucas plans to give away the majority of it to promote education. I'm sure he'll keep enough that he won't have to take a job doing philadelphia wedding photography.
In 2010, Lucas signed on with Bill Gates and Warren Buffet to the Giving Pledge, which requires the worlds most wealth participants to give away the majority of their wealth to charities of their choice. They can o it during their lifetime, or wait until after death, but Lucas is making the effort to give it away now. The group of about 80 billionaires have agreed to give away at least half of their wealth to charities. Others include people like Mark Zuckerberg and Paul Allen from Facebook and Microsoft respectively.

Beiber Stolen Laptop Called a Prank
Justin Beiber and his team basically pulled off a PR stunt that people actually believed. Actually, the nutjobs that are teens listening to and worshiping their teen idols never surprise in what they will buy from these guys.
Beiber claimed that someone had stolen his laptop after a show this last week (Get a wall mounted computer bro), and even had a fake thief Tweeting him about how he was going to expose the singer. His manager even went along with it and filed a report abou tit. (I would expect them to get prosecuted for this?).
In the end it was just a PR stunt to promote his new video "Beauty and the Beat", which I'm sure I will never watch.

Not Much Talk About Boardwalk Empire This Year It Seems to Me
The finale last year left a lot of people upset at the loss of their favorite character Jimmy. While I liked his character I felt it was inevitable, and completely necessary for him to be taken out. He simply wasn't cut out for the role he was assuming, and it wouldn't have made any sense for him to get away with any of what he was doing. He didn't even want to get away with it anyways. He was ready to die, and didn't put much effort into avoiding it.
At the same time that scene gave Nucky his turn to a much darker side. This season has built on it and Nucky is becoming more and more of a cold blooded killer.
The last episode (episode 4) where Nucky and his right hand man Owen going after a booze thief that turned out to be a young kid was where we really found out. Through the episode we saw that Nucky's obsession with his new mistress was causing him to neglect the business. Some saw openings in it, while his crew and his employees started to slack off considerably. Making stupid decisions, and failing to deliver on time with Nucky not riding them as he should. Owen himself seemed to be getting a bit more cocky and undermining him.
This kid they met was set up to appeal to all the Jimmy lovers absolutely. He had a similar look and attitude that made you feel the throwback and see it test Nucky. After hiding out from the cops in the cellar overnight the 3 of them seemed to be friendly and many thought, Owen included, that Nucky was going to let him go, and perhaps take him on. As Owen stared out the window Nucky shot the kid in the back of the head. Surprising Owen greatly and probably making him wonder if he needed a ph meters at affordablephmeters.com to check his levels. Owen thinking he was going to let him go, Nucky told him that now he knows what's up. His message was sent.
This has been a fantastic season so far, but I don't see many talking about it. It's a shame if they gave up on it because of Jimmy because it is truly a great show.

Ancient Texts Say Jesus Was Married
OF course anything that comes from ancient texts is highly controversial, and the way that religious texts are considered canon makes most any finding seem like it doesn't matter through the eyes of the church. We've all heard of hundreds of ancient "gospels" that aren't considered canon, and therefore not to be trusted. It appears we have another one that insinuates that early Christians believed Jesus to be a husband. Married to someone named "Mary".
Of course hearing he is married to a "Mary" isn't anything new. Many still believe that Mary Magdeline was Jesus' wife. Egged on by fictional stories like the Da Vinci Code (this is fiction and not true BTW. IT's not accurate). It is widely talked about in popular culture and there are many people that claim he was married to her. OTher than hearing that he had some Snowboard Boots and was a pro snowboarder in the desert I wouldn't be surprised at any of this being true,...well I would be surprised if anything associated with the Bible was accurate, or true, but that's another matter.

Karen King, an expert in the history of Christianity, said the text contains a dialogue in which Jesus refers to "my wife," whom he identifies as Mary. Ms King says the fragment of Coptic script is a copy of a gospel, probably written in Greek in the second century.
Ms King helped translate and unveiled the tiny fragment at a conference of Coptic experts in Rome. She said it doesn't prove Jesus was married but speaks to issues of family and marriage that faced Christians.
Four words in the 1.5-by-3-inch fragment provide the first evidence that some early Christians believed Jesus had been married, Ms King said. Those words, written in a language of ancient Egyptian Christians, translate to "Jesus said to them, my wife," King said in a statement. full story
Oscar Voting Going Digital For First Time
I didn't even realize they were still using mail in voting for the Oscars. Not that I pay that much attention to awards shows, but I was surprised to learn tht the voting was done all through the mail and counted by hand.
This year they plan to offer an e-mail voting option for members. Exactly by the type of thing that can be hacked by people that have the time. *cough*4chan*cough*
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said on Tuesday that a new online voting system will be used for the first time in its 85-year history for the Oscars that will be handed out in February 2013. So those voters with 50 homes and just Townsend houses for rent as one address can still get some votes in.
In a transition process, the academy's 6,000 members also will be able to use traditional paper ballots to nominate and select the best actors, films, directors, screen writers and other winners of 2012.
In the past, Oscar ballots have been mailed around the world to Academy members - directors, actors, screenwriters, producers and other leading film industry figures - and the results have been tabulated by hand by the PricewaterhouseCoopers accounting firm.
It is expected that with the change more younger voters will get some of the "edgier" movies more votes.

Who would eat this?
I'm not really one to think something is too sweet, or to pass up much, but I can't imagine biting into the cream of one of these. Candy Corn Oreos? I mean if Oreo wanted to get a Halloween cookie out there isn't there something more tasty than CANDY CORN?
Sure...I know there is the random oddball that loves candy corn, but in a soft cream form are they? The cookie actually makes candy corn better I guess, but I still wouldn't want to eat it. My army clothing costume won't be pocketing any of those things this year that's for sure.

Lance Armstrong Stripped of ALL Tour de France Wins?
I ahve followed this a little bit today, but have yet to hear many people tha tknow whether or not this committee that was sentencing Armstrong to a lifetime ban has the ability to strip his titles.
Not that it stopped them as they claim they do. The USADA, after Lance decided to "give up" on teh arbitration hearing that accused him of doping said they basically took that as a sign of guilt. Giving him a lifetime ban and stripping him of all his wins. Take his maple kitchen cabinets while you are at it/
Now...this isn't gonna end anytime soon. Their evidence? Heresay from other people who tested positive from steroids and about 700 drug tests that Armstrong passed over the years. We shall see.

Snoop Dogg (errr...'Lion') Says He's Down to Do American Idol
I guess I haven't paid much attention to Snoop lately. I guess he changed his name to Snoop Lion from Snoop Dogg at some point and became a reggae singer. Who would have thought?
In an interview recently he said that he would be willing to be on American Idol now too I guess. Of course it wasn't a huge arm twist to get him to say so from this response:
After hearing of the millions of dollars "Idol" judges earn on the Fox competition, Snoop, in an interview this week, said: "I'll do `American Idol.'"
MAybe he can get into directing video games like Jay Z did with NBA 2k13 this year. I'm sure he can get someone to throw a cheap zombie game onto an xbox live subscription online and make a few bucks.
Jackson Siblings Deny that Money is Why They Contest Will
LOL...yeah sure.
Let's see WHY they are contesting it then shall we?
"It is important to stress that Janet, Randy and Rebbie have questioned the validity of the will with no financial motive whatsoever - they stand to gain nothing financially by a finding that the will is invalid," Friday's statement said.
"What will be gained ... is that the executors will be replaced and the estate and the guardianship will be managed in a manner that is in the best interests of the children," it added.
Oh...so none of them want to be this new executor then I take it? OF course they do. That's the entire point of this. o they have access to the money. No Iolo registry repair will take that assumption away.

Official 13 minute Dark Knight Rises Preview On Youtube
With the excitement for the upcoming Dark Knight Rises opening in theaters worldwide on July 20th a brand new 13 minute behind the scenes preview has been posted on youtube. It is in FULL HD.
Dark Knight was actually ranked as the top movie of all-time on IMDb by voters when it first came out. This movie had a ton of press besides being very good. With the death of Heath Ledger around the time of release, and the movie actually being awesome it got a a lot more support than it might have otherwise. It would still be ranked pretty high, but not nearly as high without all the factors coming together.
Anyways, the videeo is 13 minutes with some clips and behind the scenes stuff into the upcomign movie that opens worldwide on July 20th.
A screening for the press scheduled for July 6th in IMAX actually had complications and had to be stopped at 1 hour into it due to problems with audio sync. The projectionist was probably busy back in his Famous Smoke Shop and forgot to do something.
Seth Myers to Replace Regis on Live?
Pretty random group of candidates it appears in line to replace REgis Philbin on the morning show he co-hosts with Kelly Rippa. One of the final 3 seems to be Seth Meyers from Saturday Night Live. A mainstay on the weekly show and been there for years. Since he has almost no movie career of note he may need to get into a talk show circuit of some sort.
According to Showbiz411 he's one of 3. The other 2 include ex-NFL player Michael Strahan who had the disaster sitcom 'Brothers' a couple years back. Also, singer Josh Grobin is being considered for the seat.
For a show I never swatch it matters little I suppose, but a strange combo of finalists I must admit. Maybe the producers spent too much time with their beer brewing kits and wanted to make a joke of the show.
The Amazing Spiderman unsurprisingly leads box office for first week
One thing you can count on from American movie-goers is that they will flock to the theaters for super hero blockbusters. Batman and Spiderman have surely been raking in the cash over the last decade, and the reboot of Spiderman entitled 'The Amazing Spiderman' is no different.
Not as big an opening as some of its past installments, Spiderman still tops the box office for the week pulling in $144 million for the 6 day opening with a $65 million opening weekend. A bit lower than its previous installments that didn't have the 3D and IMAX pricing to put a bit more tensioners on the pockets of consumers.
The Amazing Spider-Man started off softer than any of the previous Spidey installments; after six days, 2002′s Spider-Man had earned $144.1 million, 2004′s Spider-Man 2 had earned $180.1 million, and 2007′s Spider-Man 3 had earned $176.2 million — and none of those had 3-D or IMAX ticket prices. But its robust debut put to rest any chatter that Sony had made a grave mistake by rebooting the franchise with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Clearly, the Marvel character is a major draw.

Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson in New Machete Kills movie
Machete Kills is basically Machete 2 if you saw that you know it is an ensemble movie of outrageous action and spoofy comedy. Making fun of the action genre for the most part and going over the top for extreme explosions and violence. You'd want to remove the kids bean bags from the room before a viewing of these films.
Robert Rodriguez, the director, made the announcement he cast Sheen on Twitter, posting, “I just cast Charlie Sheen in #machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon…”
I also co-stars one of Hollywood's other most legendarily unpredictable actors, Gibson, as well a spate of sexy stars, including Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara and Zoe Saldana. It's unclear what role Gibson's taking on in the sequel to the pulpy 2010 movie "Machete."

Lindsay Lohan to Appear Nuce in 'The Canyons'
I know very little about this film. It has a VERY low budget. Something like $200K, and Lohan will appear in the film with a porn star named James Deen (very weak porn name I must say).
The film will be shot over a few weeks in the next month. It was written by author Bret Easton Ellis, who tweeted, “Shooting THE CANYONS starring James Deen and Lindsay Lohan: July 9-31 in L.A. Could not have dreamed of a better cast. Lindsay nailed it…”
Lohan has pretty much killed any legitimate film roles she could get in it appears like. Playing someone in this kind of movie is probably not even acting I would guess. She probably can barely get enough work right now to afford wholesale clothing at MyLeather.com. OF course the train wreck is always still able to sell tickets I bet.

Charlize Theron Shaves Her Head
Really, I just felt like saying how hot I think Charlize Theron is and how big of a fan I am of hers. She's probably my favorite hottie in Hollywood, only outdone by Victoria's Secret model, Adriana Lima. Not even a fan of blondes normally, but she just does it for me. :)
Anyways, I think she's a good actress too so it isn't all just looks. Her performance in Monster was amazing. Didn't think it was possible to make her look bad. Now she has gone and shaved her head! She has a reason though. She is starting filming for Mad Max: Fury Road. Let's hope she doesn't have any bluetooth barcode scanner mark tattoos on her head like Jack from the Mass Effect series.

Two People Shot in argument over who makes the best Kool-aid
Apparently a couple guys were shouting in the street about the best way to mix kool-aid. Both made claims to be kool-aid making experts. Instead of whipping out their catering supplies and having contest, out came the firearms to settle the debate.
They didn't actually shoot each other either. They shot off their rounds into two other people standing nearby. One was hit in the wrist and the other was shot in the behind. Both would survive. Neither shooter was caught.

$250,000 Paid for one Beatles song for one episode of 'mad Men'
Authenticity is key for “Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner — no matter the cost.
In this week’s episode, Draper struggles to understand the ever-changing landscape of 1960s youth culture by giving the new Beatles album a cursory listen.
The song he listens to is “Tomorrow Never Knows" by the Beatles. That song cost what? $250,000 for the licensing. Probalby handed whoever made this call a small business insurance quotes before they made the pitch.
Whatever people think, this is not about money,” he said in a recent New York Times interview. “It never is. They are concerned about their legacy and their artistic impact.”
The use of the song likely marks the first time the band’s actual recordings have ever been used on a TV show, music and ad executives tell The Times.
“It was always my feeling that the show lacked a certain authenticity, because we never could have an actual master recording of the Beatles performing,” Weiner said. “Not just someone singing their song or a version of their song, but them, doing a song in the show.
“It always felt to me like a flaw. Because they are the band, probably, of the 20th century.”

Octomom Files For Bankruptcy
When people look back on the 2010s they will remember Octomom. Not because she had 8 kids at once. Well partly, but mostly because she was a degenerate that had 8 kids at once to get rich. Yes...she got impregnated to have octuplets for the sole purpose of getting rich. She actually has 14 (!) kids now. It really can't be denied. She has had a reality TV show, done hundreds of interviews, and even had her name pop up in some porno movie roles (which she denies of course).
So...now we come to this. After getting loads of money...she is filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy. You know...what people that get lots of money and don't know what to do with it do? Oh you mean you don't know what it is like? Of course not...anyone you know that filed bankruptcy probably got screwed by the economy when their small business failed and had little choice. Anyways, I guess she owed at least $30K in rent. I gues making nearly a million dollars doesn't go very far. Even when all the stuff your kids need is basically paid for as well for you.
In 2009, Suleman declined a million-dollar offer to appear in pornography but was recently paid an undisclosed amount for posing semi-nude and doing an interview in a British magazine. Maybe she can get a gig hawking a toothette line.

Dick Clark Fortune in the "Hundreds of millions"
Wouldn't have expected anything less to be honest. After living for 400 years I'd imagine that you could create quite a nest egg being an actual icon. While it doesn't give much of a breakdown, or raw overall numbers this is a pretty good article about Clark as an entrepreneur. It basically covers his companies and his work ethic, as well as a bit about his $175 million company that sold back in 2007. Owning everything except possibly all the casablanca ceiling fans at PalmFanStore.com.
Hunger Games Reign atop Box Office Over at 4 Weeks
The young adult drama, 'Hunger Games' has finally been ousted as the top box office draw this weekend by not one, but two new releases. 'Think Like a Man' and ensemble comedy, and 'The Lucky One', starring Zac Efron as a Marine on a mission to track down a woman he feels protected him during war. She must have sent him the best airbrush tanning solution she could find to keep him from having to be in the sun too long.
'Think Like a Man's success surprised many in Hollywood over the weekend, as the picture came in more than $10 million ahead of industry projections with what distributor Sony Pictures estimated to be a $33 million debut. "The Lucky One." ended up grossing $22.8 million
McCartney Video Sign Language Errors?
Looks like there may have been a bit of error in translation with some of the sign language in a Paul McCartney video.
For his new music video “My Valentine,” Paul McCartney enlisted the aid of Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp to interpret the lyrics of his song through sign language. However, some in the sign-language community are now claiming the actors botched the effort.
The video, released on April 13, came in three editions: one with Portman, one with Depp, and one splicing the two together. According to UK tabloid The Sun, both actors signed the word “tampon” instead of "appear," and Depp additionally signed "enemy" while attempting “valentine.” What's next? Calling patio furniture something like pancake?
Well done on the editing people. Enemy and Valentine though could be quite compatible no? Certainly wouldn't want a tampon to appear from anywhere though if I could help it.
Never Offer More After a Divorce
NFL player Chris Clemmons from the Seattle Seahawks and his wife got divorced recently. He agreed to pay her $500,000 and give her a Land Rover. I guess he felt bad so he also outside of the courts said she could have his mansion. She in turn blew all the other money she had on whatever, clothes, Treksta shoes, whatever, and then asked for him to pay for her attorney. He decided she wasn't getting his house after all.
Now...she has decided to sue him some more attorney's fees and claiming he gave her the house. She asked him for almost $800,000 in attorney's fees after he gave her the house and he said that's enough and took the house back. First world problems.

Modern Family
Thanks for the post from Al Mills
Ever since we got satellite TV from www.expertsatellite.com, I cannot get enough of the show Modern Family. I think it is the funniest show on television. My favorite character is Phil. He plays one of the fathers on the show and is always trying to be a cool dad and perfect husband. He also constantly tries to win the approval of his father-in-law and tries to hide the fact that he thinks his stepmother is attractive. My second favorite character on the show is Cam. He is a homosexual man who is married to another man. They adopted a little girl from Asia and are trying to raise her in as normal a home as possible. Each week, the show has a theme that involves each family. I have not yet seen one episode that is not funny. I usually am on the verge of tears by the end of each episode. Usually when I start to really like a show it gets cancelled. I hope that this show stays on the air for a long time because I thoroughly enjoy it.

Today Show beats Katie Couric as Expected
Not really as expected on Monday though. The Today Show having Sarah Palin on this week was surely going to beat Couric on Good Morning America. She was not on Monday though, so this has to be a bit of a letdown for GMA that even with Couric they got beat out.
Monday’s “Today” averaged 4.9 million viewers. “GMA,” featuring the highly hyped return of former “Today” sweetheart Couric, attracted just under half a million fewer viewers. The two shows’ season-to-date gap is 528,000 viewers.
On her second day of “Good Morning America” co-anchoring, Katie faced even stiffer competition — “Today” had lined up Sarah Palin to co-anchor, for the 8 a.m. hour, anyway. I think she visited an amish gazebo or something and told them that she shot grizzly bears.

Ashton Kutcher to Play Steve Jobs
OK...seems like a completely different sort that you would want to play Steve Jobs, but Kutcher has gotten the role. Apparently he looks a lot like him. I suppose a little, although I don't really see it. Put him on a custom challenge coin.
The film will follow Jobs on his journey from "wayward hippie" to cofounder of Apple and one of the most respected and powerful entrepreneurs in the business and technological world. Jobs passed away last October.
The film will be based on the best-selling, authorized bio of Jobs by Walter Isaacson.

Sucks to Be Katie Couric as a Guest Host I Guess
She is going to be guest hosting on Good Morning America this week, but not to be outdone NBC is giving her competition she can unlikely beat. Sarah Palin will be hosting the Today Show during the same time apparently. IT's been too long I guess since Palin has been on TV so I guess this is where she lands.
Like her , or not, Palin will likely win this ratings war. There are enough people that just want to see how dumb she can be I'm sure that will get rating s alone. MAybe they will send her out on the street, or to play with some Electric Airsoft Guns with the people.

Whitney Houston Died From Drowning Says Coroner
Hadn't followed this story at all since the say it happened. Honestly I never even heard the speculation around what really did happen. Assumed it was an overdose when I heard, but never paid attention to it until I saw the headlines today. Drugs did play a role I guess though too.
Drowned in her bathtub. Gotta be drugs involved to do that right? Unless you slipped and hit your head on your storage cabinets and knocked yourself out you have to be pretty gone to drown in a bathtub.
Whitney Houston, who was found dead in her hotel room on the eve of the Grammy Awards last month, accidentally drowned in a bathtub, the Los Angeles County coroner said on Thursday. Cocaine and heart disease also played a role in her death, the coroner said.

Growing Pains
Thanks to Roman May
As my business grew over the last year, I realized I was quickly outgrowing my small office space and basic phone and internet. Luckily, a neighbor introduced me to smallbusiness.xo.com. With them, I have been able to keep up with the growing demand I have faced and still have the capacity for more growth! My goal is to always exceed my customer’s expectations in every way. This is not always an easy task! In addition to my communications upgrades, I have added staff to meet our growing demand as well as office space. When the area next to the space I was already leasing became available, I went ahead and leased it as well even though it was more than I needed. I figured the small extra expense of having more space than I needed was well offset by the savings of not having to move or get all new stuff printed with a new address! So far things are working out well and we are continuing to grow. Looks like I will be using that extra space sooner than I thought!

"Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" Posts Biggest Opening of the Year
No surprise that an animated film has taken the biggest box office jackpot of the year so far. No matter how good a movie is, people are always looking for a good family movie to go see together that they can all enjoy. Nothing like watching the kids enjoy themselves and making yourself feel like a kid again for a couple hours that's for sure. Instead of worrying about your adult worries like wondering " is 7 day slimming pill safe?" it is nice to let go and feel like a kid again, even for a short time.
The animated 3-D environmental tale greatly exceeded industry expectations, raking in $70.7 million, according to an estimate from distributor Universal Pictures. Meanwhile, the weekend's other new release, a polar opposite for families, the R-rated party flick "Project X," collected a healthy $20.8 million.
As a result of the robust ticket sales, receipts were up 26 percent as compared with the same weekend last year. Overall, it has been a strong year at the box office so far: Sales have jumped 19 percent compared to last year, and attendance has spiked 21 percent.

Lindsay Lohan Has High Rated SNL Appearance
Everyone loves to watch a car crash right? I mean they can't look away...nobody actually loves it. Lohan has basically been this for the past few years, and yet she seems to get away with everything she does. Maybe the poster child for the "First world problems" sort of person right here she appeared on Saturday Night Live last night and got some of thee highest ratings of anyone this year.
While not locked inside hr residential metal buildings under house arrest, doing community service, breaking probation, getting preferential treatment from judges, she still is making money it appears, and people want to see her. Either succeed or fail I guess. I prefer to see her go away, but I suppose Hollywood thinks we all love her.
This season's rankings with Lohan at #2 behind Barkley who got an NFL playoff lead in:
1. Charles Barkley, 7.4 rating
2. Lindsay Lohan, 5.5 rating
3. Jimmy Fallon, 5.3 rating
4. Melissa McCarthy, 5.2 rating (tie)
4. Daniel Radcliffe, 5.2 rating (tie)

Whitney Houston Found Dead at 48
Wow...didn't realize she was only 48. TMZ is the only place I have seen reporting it and there is little detail. Her entourage found her in her room and immediately called 911. She was unresponsive and pronounced dead.
Too early to tell the cause. Investigations have started to rule out foul play. Obvious speculation is that it is drug related, but nobody has said anything about the cause yet to know anything. No new mens titanium watches for her crew this year.

Ellen Gives Real Values to Haters
Everyone is a hater of some sort. So much angst and venom out there about any issue whatsoever. People love to fight, but one thing that has always been silly to me is how people claim hatred as a "value".
While I don't watch Ellen's show, and don't even consider myself a fan of hers in any way, I appreciate people that stick up for themselves in a classy way and might even consider buying their discount dvd. Recently she became a spokesperson for JC Penney's and that enraged a bunch of people that claimed she didn't represent their "traditional values".
You disagree with these values?
"Here are the values I stand for. I stand for honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you'd want to be treated and helping those in need. To me, those are traditional values. That's what I stand for…I also believe in dance."

Our Sweet Dog
Contribution by Stevie Kirby
I thought that getting a dog would make me feel safer at home, but our dog is as sweet as can be. He rarely barks or growls, and is friendly to whoever walks through the door. He doesn’t get protective of the family at all. That’s a good thing for when we want to have guests come into the house, but it doesn’t do us any good in terms of security. I feel lucky that he is obedient and listens to me, but I know we need to do more to protect our home from thieves and other dangers. One of our family friends came over and when she met our dog and saw how friendly he was, she suggested we go to totalalarmsystems.com and get set up with a home alarm. She has always had one and says it makes her feel much safer when she is alone at home. Since getting a dog didn’t work out, I thought it was a god idea. When I thought about it, the alarm is probably much more effective than even the meanest guard dog. A guard dog can’t alert the police, so it’s probably worth it to try it out.

Luck on HBO
Still undecided on if "Luck" is another sure thing on HBO, but I was pretty satisfied with the pilot.
The show is based around the life at the race track. Looks at all angles from the gambling to the guys running it. The pilot episode focused mostly on a group of lowlife gamblers trying to win the giant "Pick 6" jackpot. Pooling their money together they placed their bet based on some apparent betting whiz. This was the biggest action of the pilot, but it introduced a lot of characters as well.
Most of what I've read is that people didn't understand a lot of what was going on. For some reason people fixated too much on how the bet worked, but really it was of little consequence. All you needed to know was that it was a longshot and they were trying to win.
A few guys you will recognize like Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte are in the cast so you know they are likely spending a pretty penny on producing this one. They are all in it seems as they have already renewed it for the 2013 season so getting into the show you know you have at least 2 full season to look forward to and won't be stuck playing with your model planes wondering how it was supposed to end. This is a good thing to know.

Kristen Bell=Sloth Lady
I'm gonna go a head and guess this is all just acting, but it should remind everyone of the infamous free dating Video Biography with the girl that loves cats so much that she cried every two seconds when she thought of them.
Kristen Bell should now be known as SLOTH girl I guess after this recent interview on the Ellen show.

Once Upon a Time
One of the only broadcast (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox are broadcast) shows I started to watch this year was Once Upon a Time. I didn't watch it from the start, but only ran through it during the massive winter breaks for the only shows still on this year I watch like Fringe, which frankly got hosed this year with massive breaks because of scheduled and MLB playoffs. So during these huge lulls I had to get some sort of TV fix and picked this show somehow.
I marathoned the first 6-7 episodes I believe so I didn't have any downtime realy for the first parts. This typically makes me like a shw better than I think I do since I am not having to wait week to week to get small bits of story. Once I am caught up to live with the show though I almost always figure out if I really like the show, or it is just not a show I want to watch every week.
Once Upon a Time I have been watching every week (recorded of course), but it is starting to slow down a bit in how much I liked it before. I recognized it wasn't a fantastic show already, but it was good enough that I added it to my shows I watch for now.
Basic premise of the show is that a bunch of fairy tale characters are cursed by an evil queen to forget who they are and transported to a modern day town called Storybrook. None of them remember and this is the most boring aspect of the show. They do flashbacks to the fairy tale lands , but most of the story is in this small town where they all live. Them remembering is probably the thing I least care about on the show, and I almost want to wait until they figure it out to keep watching I care so little about this aspect. I'd rather watch people parade around in a cheap plus size cocktail dress than wait for this.
The show has all the fairy tale relationships like Snow White and Prince Charming not remembering who they are. They have a bunch of "drama" with them not klnowing and not being together so them not remembering feels like it is just spinning its wheels until something actually happens. I am much more interested in seeing what they do once everyone knows because I have no idea what the show is supposed to do at this point, and they have said that season 1 will have them remember. I suppose we'll have a big magical battle with the queen, who is the mayor of this town and then what? Not sure. Just not sure this show has a lot of legs to keep going so it is hard to stay real interested in it.
