Karate Kid Remake

lol.

Ok...so I like Karate Kid when it first came out. Watching it now it sort of sucks, but it still has one of my favorite lines to yell at a sporting event:

"Put him in a body bag!"

Anyways, Will Smith's son, Jaden is being pegged as the Next Karate Kid for an upcoming remake of the "classic?" movie where Ralph Machio starred.

Karate Kid isn't the only '80s classic getting the remake of a modern furniture treatment I guess. A rumored remake of Footloose "the musical" starring Zac Efron - is said to be coming in 2010 with High School Musical director Kenny Ortega running the show.

Oh joy...can't wait.

Nicole Kidman & Charlize Theron to Play Man & Wife in Film

This is a pretty weird story...Not just that they are playing man and wife, but the story the movie they are making is based on.

"In the 1920s, the male Einar (to be played by Kidman) posed as a woman for his painter wife Greta (to be played by Theron).

The finished portraits became all the rage in Copenhagen, which prompted Greta to encourage Einar to dress as a woman.

By 1931, however, the husband took his role another step and underwent a landmark sex-change operation that had repercussions not only in their home but also around the world."

I guess it takes all kinds, and it takes Hollywood to think all kinds want to see movies like this. I was hoping this was going to be something hot that we would be drooling on our home theater carpeting over, but I guess it will be just strange. Charlize Theron is still hawt though. Kidman too I guess although she is getting a bit older.

AC/DC Creates a Music Video On Microsoft Excel for Rock n' Roll Train

While most old celebs and rockers are out hawking infomercial sutff, or promoting healthy grilling, AC/DC is still pumping music out. This time it isn't just the music that people are looking forward to. AC/DC produced a video for the single, "Rock 'n' Roll Train," but it was done entirely in Microsoft Excel.

What you say? I said the same thing until I saw it, but it is really cool. Below is the video as it is uploaded onto Youtube. Very original idea I must say, and it just looks awesome. The actual "video" starts about 30 seconds in. Check it out:

Madonna, Ritchie reach reported $60 Mil divorce settlement

Yes. A man finally wins a divorce. Haha...just kidding.

Nowhere else do you get these kinds of settlements other than in the entertainment industry. I guess women don't really get the opportunity to have this much money in the corporate world too much yet. Although they are getting there. I've seen the corporate holiday cards for female bosses out there ;). Madonna and her ex-husband, Guy Ritchie has reportedly reached a settlement in their divorce proceedings according to The Sun.

Ritchie will reportedly walk away with assets totaling around $60 million, including a 1,200-acre country estate, a London pub, and a cash settlement.

“The negotiations were relatively painless,” The Sun quoted a source as saying. “Guy knew what he wanted and Madonna knew what she was keen to keep. There was a spell when Guy was in a mood to dig his heels in, but he decided this arrangement seemed reasonable and a long battle over money would make life unbearable.”

Guy plans to be a man whore now that he is divorced according to friends. Yeah...I'd probably do that too I guess.

Sarah Palin on SNL

If you didn't already know, Sarah Palin appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend. After a few weeks of Tina Fey portraying Sarah Palin on the show they finally got Palin herself to appear on the show as well. Just like any other politician that appears on SNL you probably shouldn't expect much. It wasn't terrible by any means. It just wasn't all that great. SNL tends to do a pretty bad job at sketches when they bring on guests like this. Seems like they waste the opportunity, or the guest just isn't that entertaining. I expected them to do a bit more with her as a mom, or something. Maybe out with the kids shopping for crib bedding, or something...lol

If that video below works you can watch her opening skit here, but for some reason the embed doesn't always work from there. If that is the xcase you can take a look at it here as well as quite a few other clips they have done on Palin. NBC is pretty stingy with their SNL clips, but Hulu.com is allowed to post most of them so that is probably the best place to get them.

Matt Damon Will Star in 4th Bourne Movie

Although i love this movie series, I just don't know how they can reasonably keep making them. Who else does he have a beef with? I just don't get it. I thought he already took vengence on everyone that has ever done him wrong.

The previous three “Bourne” movies have been based on the novels by Robert Ludlum, but the latest chapter will be an original story on their laptop computer. Care to speculate as to what his new mission will be?

Let's see. He took out everyone, and got away again with out consequence. What can he do now? Does he just become a super hero and fight evil? Surely there will be some sort of story in which he is fighting against the secret agencies of government. Maybe some new hot shot in the CIA is after him and wants to bring him to justice. Maybe he gets caught again and they put him back to work?

Will I watch it? Yes. Do I think it will be good? Probably not.

Hugh Hefner Still Gets More Love Than You

At 82 years-old, Hugh Hefner said in a video at Playboy recently that his new twin girlfriends will never be able to satisfy his appetite. He claims that he still needs at least one other woman in the bedroom.

I guess this guy is trying to tell us that it is a virtual turnstile in the old bedroom for him. Right after the "No Vacancy" light goes off the exit signs turn on.

OK...this guy is probably pulling your leg at this point, but are you really going to argue with him after seeing the women he has been with? I don't think we have much reason to anymore. Let the old man die gracefully, or keep on livin' it up as he says he is :).

Heath Ledger's daughter to inherit Estate

Interesting development in the Heath Ledger estate. His will left his assets to his parents and three sisters, Kate and Olivia Ledger and Ashleigh Bell. The will reportedly only listed about $145,000 in assets, although his estaate is estimated at around $20 Million after all is said and done with commercial collection agencies, and other bill collectors taking theirs.

Now it is reported that his family has decided that his daughter, Matilda Rose Ledger, who turns 3 in October, will inherit her father Heath’s fortune following the actor’s untimely death, Australian newspaper the Sunday Times reported.

“Our family has gifted everything to Matilda,” Heath’s father, Kim Ledger, told the Sunday Times on Saturday. “There is no claim.”

Cindy McCain on the View: "They Picked Our Bones Clean"

Last week Presidential candidate John McCain and his wife Cindy appeared on the talks show The View. Several days later she seems to have a lot to say about how they were treated by the ladies on the View. She claims that the American people's views and beliefs are not represented in newspapers and on TV shows such as "The View." While I don't disagree with that, she went on to say that they "picked their bones clean" at a Michigan fundraiser this week.

"In spite of what you see ... in the newspapers, and on shows like 'The View' -- I don't know if any of you saw 'The View' yesterday, they picked our bones clean -- in spite of what you see, that's not what the American people are saying and what they are believing," says Mrs. McCain, per ABC News' Arnab Datta. "They are now seeing a clear difference with these candidates, and they are seeing who is going to make the best president, and that's why we're pulling ahead." Full video can be seen here. Heck...you can probably get the video onto your unlocked cell phones by now.

Sorry to break it to you Cindy. The reason you are pulling a head is because Americans are quite stupid. The addition of Sarah Palin to the Republican ticket is the ONLY reason that McCain has gained so much momentum. Sarah Palin is now as big, or much bigger than Obama as a political celebrity. That is the only reason this race has changed. McCain couldn't be happier that all the focus has been pulled off of him and moved onto Palin.

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin

Didn't take very long for Sarah Palin to become a bigger "celebrity" than Barack Obama did it? Kind of funny how this has all played out considering the silly ads that the McCain camp was putting out earlier in the campaign comparing him to celebrities only to have his VP running mate become just another celebrity herself. I've even seen crazy promotional products for Sarah Palin out there on some news sites as well like Sarah Palin dolls and the like.

Well...Saturday Night Live certainly didn't waste any time either as they got Tina Fey to rejoin the cast and portray Sarah Palin Saturday. Take a look at the video here.
