J.Lo's ex ordered to pay her $545,000

A judge Wednesday approved a $545,000 arbitration award to Jennifer Lopez in a lawsuit against her first husband, Ojani Noa, over his plans to publish a tell-all book.

This guy needs to put together some business packages like selling personalized cups or something. Since he hasn't actually published the book this is going to cost the guy dearly.

He doesn't sound too bright nayways:

Noa, who had been representing himself, asked Wednesday for another 30 days to find a lawyer.

When Solner denied his request, Noa objected.

“I think it’s unfair, to be honest, your honor,” Noa said.

“I’m sure you do,” Solner replied.

Lopez’s attorney, Paul N. Sorrell, said a previous judge gave Noa chances to get a lawyer and he never did.

Halle Berry expecting her first baby

Halle Berry is pregnant with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry’s baby, the 41-year-old actress confirmed to “Access Hollywood’s” Nancy O’Dell in an e-mail on Tuesday.

“Yes, I am three months pregnant! Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I’ve waited a long time for this moment in life. Now the next seven months will be the longest of my life!” she wrote to Nancy. "... You heard it from ME first!”

According to In Touch Weekly, Berry is due on Valentine's Day where she may have gotten some outdoor lighting. The magazine also reports that Berry will be carefully monitored during the pregnancy, not only because of her age but also because she is a diabetic. She reportedly is being treated by a doctor who specializes in high-risk pregnancies. more

Big bucks for celeb appearances

I just posted a story about how places like Caesars Palace were giving celebs the incentive to pay to play at various casinos. Totally forgot that I had just watched Entourage's last 4 episodes of Season 3 yesterday and they in fact went to Vegas in one of them and this very situation came about. Mr. Chase got set up with an appearance fee of $100K by his boy turtle and they went in and totally blew the dough at first. Pretty coincidental that I just saw that episode last night and then I saw that article today.

Comedy club not happy with Andy Dick

Good old Andy Dick. This guy always looks like he is out of his mind on drugs, which is either really great acting, or he just can't hide it. Comedian’s behavior in Ohio included groping patrons, urinating on floor. Acting? I doubt it. After such antics he should be looking for a hide away with some Arizona luxury real estate.

David Stroupe said it was one of the worst experiences with a performer in the history of the Funny Bone Comedy Club.

He was referring to Andy Dick, a former co-star on the 1990s sitcom “NewsRadio,” who appeared at the Funny Bone last weekend.

Stroupe, the club’s managing partner, said the 41-year-old actor-comedian made inappropriate comments while on stage, groped patrons, took women into the men’s room and urinated on the floor and on at least one person. full story

Paid to play: Stars add buzz to Vegas clubs

Three years ago, as Paris Hilton was about to turn 24, the celebutante got a sense of her worth to the nightclub industry in Las Vegas. Unlike Britney she actually wore her padded panty to the public event.

She had celebrated her previous three birthdays at Light, the Bellagio hotel-casino nightclub run by the Light Group. But for her 24th, another company swooped in with an offer that trumped the standard private jet to and from L.A., a free stay at a luxury suite, a sumptuous dinner and, of course, free booze.

The hotel heiress would get a big paycheck — Light was told $200,000 — just to party, but it had to be at PURE, a rival nightclub at Caesars Palace run by the PURE Management Group. read more

Richie released from jail after 82 minutes

Nicole Richie just got rewarded by our country of overcrowded jails. Sentenced to 90 hours, she was released after just 82 minutes. This isn't uncommon at all and really the only reason they even made her sit there that long was because they have to wait for all the other people who got sentenced that day before her to get released for their misdemeanors. Happens everyday and this isn't even a story although many will gasp at the slight of time she received. Cold hard truth is that "real" criminals stay in jail and those with misdemeanors walk because there are so many other whackos already in the system. Nicole should be at home resting in here outdoor kitchen as she watches her servants cook for her.

Celebrity Baby Names

From Pax to Dezi, Hollywood names their kids things that would make your portable oxygen concentrator work overtime. Nobody can just have a normal name anymore so I guess they have to list all the whacked out celebrity baby names they can find in a recent article at MSNBC.com. Coco, Apple, Sawyer, Emu, whatever. Name your kid after the stuff on the bottom of your shoe as you roll out of a 4 day bender and I'm sure someone will think it rocks. Bad enough your parents are drunken idiots. You just have to remind everyone every time someone says their kid's name too apparently.

Bodyguard: Blame Lindsay Lohan's parents

Here we go. It is time to start making excuses for how adults act by blaming their parent. The model rocket Lindsay Lohan is getting some kind words from her bodyguard saying that her problems are directly related to her parents. Do you believe? To some extent this is usually the case, but there comes a time when people have to be responsible for their own actuons. This story falls on deaf ears.

If Lindsay Lohan’s life is a train wreck, she’s got no one to blame but her parents. So says LiLo’s former bodyguard Tony Almeida in the latest issue of In Touch.

“Lindsay was a very sweet and talented kid, but she didn’t stand a chance against her parents and the Hollywood system,” he told the magazine. more
