The Conan O'Brien Show is No More

Last night The Conan O'Brien Show had it's last episode. Conan O'Brien has packed his luggage and will be getting a few months off before he takes over The Tonight Show that Jay Leno has been hosting since Johnny Carson retired. O'Brien has hosted his own show since 1993.

Now all we need is for David Letterman to retire so we don't have to listen to his stale jokes anymore. O'Brien is clearly the best show of the 3 the last several years, and will do just fine as the new Tonight Show host.

“This is where they invented television,” O'Brien told Bush. “This is a temple to broadcasting and I leave this place with a heavy heart. It’s been an amazing home to me. I’ve been doing it for 16 seasons and it’s time to change. I think Eric Clapton said, ‘Change or die!’ You’ve gotta move, you’ve gotta evolve, you’ve gotta change. And I think the L.A. chapter will be fascinating because man, am I a fish out of water in Los Angeles and man, that could make some good television.”

“We’re really excited, we have an amazing set up on the Universal lot and we actually kicked the ‘Desperate Housewives’ out of their studio,” he said with a laugh. “We’ve since made up. And that was fun, let me tell you. But now we’re all friends. We lunch together almost every day.”

Not going to go into the whole "Grammy Experience" with my thoughts on this one. I didn't watch the show this year so there isn't much reason for me to blabber on about my fraudulent thoughts regarding the show. I didn't make the trek and survive the week to cover the event so I will just give you what really matters.

Dead Like Me Movie Coming Next Week

Well..next week if you don't understand the internet :P.

Not sure how many people even realized that there was going to be a Dead Like Me movie. In fact I had never heard anything about it until I saw it online the other day. If you don't know what Dead Like Me is, it was a show from Showtime that had maybe a couple seasons. Nobody really ever heard of it, but it has been played on stations most people have like Sci-Fi since and many people found it to be a pretty good show.

"Georgia Lass is aloof and emotionally distant from her family and shied away from her life. After dropping out of college, she takes a job at Happy Time Temporary Services. On her lunch break of her first day, she is hit and killed by a toilet seat from the de-orbiting of the Mir space station. Probably forgetting to get a term life quote before that. She is informed shortly after her death that, rather than moving on to the "great beyond", she will become a grim reaper in the "external influence" division[5], responsible for reaping souls of people who die in accidents (many of which are of Rube Goldberg-style and complexity[6][7]), suicides and homicides."

Anyways, if you liked this show, which there were a lot of us that did, you should check the movie out. I thought it was pretty good. 7/10 probably. Only thing most people will complain about is that Rube isn't in the movie. It isn't a big deal though if you are bright enough to understand what the movie was trying to do with the reapers. The lesson they are supposed to learn, or the test theya re given.

Jessica Simpson Has a Bad Day

If people haven't been giving her enough grief lately, namely Tony Romo, the tabloids are giving her even more after a pretty bad performance in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Thursday. She is trying out the country music thing I guess, and forgot a bunch of lyrics and sounded horrible. Oh well...I never cared what she sounded like anyways. I'm not an 8 year-old girl and you can put that on some promotional pens.

Instead of telling us all how much weight she has gained they are going after her talent now. She doesn't even look fat BTW from everything I have seen recently. Maybe I don't think someone who weighs over 100 pounds is fat though, but the fat people that write about them apparently do. The video below is here "screw up" this week.

Eva Mendez Voted Most Desirable

The most important stories in the celeb universe is certainly the list of the hottest celebrities of the day. Hottest as in looks, and celebrities as in women. At least to me who could care less about what guys you think are cute. I'm more interested in models sucking down the best diet pills to maintain a figure that you could die for.

So this list is one that was actually a bit of a vote list from AskMen.com. (Eva Mendez tops the list of the Top 99 Women of 2009 with Megan Fox rolling in at #2 followed by Marissa Miller, Keeley Hazell, and Anne Hathaway rounding out the top 5. Adriana Lima is #19 shamefully.

Photographer Could Get Fired Over Naked Skier Pic

Justice against the media? Maybe. I'm sure you remember this pic being plastered all over the internet. The guy falling out of the ski lift and dangling by his Blackberry plants in front of the whole world.

Well...the photographer Marty Odem, who works for a company that shoots pics of skiers at Vail Mountain ski lifts says he's already been suspended over the pics and believes he'll probably get fired over the incident. The photo company says that the images violate the skier's privacy. No kidding?

Odom wrote on a snowboarding website that he took the pictures on his day off and was carrying his own camera. Even with the threat of losing his job, Odem claims "the photo is worth it."

That begs the question...is this really against the skier's privacy? I suppose it depends on if this is a private, or a public resort maybe? Either way...you gotta believe that this would piss you the hell off if someone snapped that pic and posted it on every news site out there wouldn't you?

Everyone Wants a Bailout

With the banking and auto industries either getting, or probably getting government bailout money (loans), even more ridiculous situations are arising around the potential government cash.

You know that guy that got in trouble to "Girls Gone Wild" for allegedly filming underage girls? Yup...Joe Francis of that fame, and the legendary pornography and political whacko Larry Flint are saying that they are trying to get a government bailout for the porn industry. Watch the video of Joe Francis saying that he is going to drive to Washington D.C. in his Prius to personally pick up the check.

I wonder if I can get some bailout money for having Plantar Fasciitis. Worth a try?

Want to Find the Dumbest People Alive?

If you have been reading the tabloids the last couple days you have obviously heard that Lindsay Lohan has broken up, or not broken up, or probably broken up, with her girlfriend "Sam" this week. Of course you can't really take anything seriously unless you get it from Lindsay's Myspace page ow can you? Her place to do a bit of virtual scrapbooking about the craziness that is her life.

If you go to her blog you can read some of the most idiotic comments you will ever see. People that take this thing real seriously. You can find everything here. The old "Leave her alone", to the "You don't even know her." to the "You're going to hell" with an array of Biblical verses plastered in the comments to try and make themselves look smart. Then it goes where you know it will. GOD TALK by people who have never read the Bible.

Most Admired People in the World for Americans...well a few Americans

It should come as no surprise who is #1 on the list of most admired men from a USA Today/Gallup poll published this week by Americans at this time. It is of course none other than our next president Barack Obama. What does surprise me a little are the ones that show up in the next few. Although the percentages are way down from Barack Obama who got 32% of the vote, the #2 most admired? George W. Bush with a 5% tally. John McCain came in 3rd overall.

As for the women the list is even more surprising. #1 overall is Hillary clinton pulling around 20% of the vote, but hold onto your hats, the #2 most admired woman is none other than Sarah Palin with an astounding 11% of the vote. A woman that probably couldn't tell you the difference betwen computer memory upgrade and a Beyonce DirecTV Upgrade. The #3 most admired woman by Americans is Oprah Winfrey.

Of course you know how polls are. You have to look at the sample size to get an idea how erratic these polls are. This poll only consisted of 1,008 people. Hardly something you could use to say that "most Americans" feel this way. Glad to see that 1,000 people are the voice of America.

Miss Hispanic America is Miss Arrested for Drug Trafficking

Laura Zuniga, winner of the Miss Hispanic America crown was anything but a great representative this past Christmas. Just before Christmas she was arrested at a Mexican checkpoint with a bundle of illegal goods and a few drug trafficking pals that included her alleged boyfriend. On the crew were 9 mm pistols, semi-automatic rifles and $53,000 in cash. A nice family Christmas vacation it appears.

Did I mention that she is super hot? I assume it was implied when it is known she was Miss Hispanic America, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyways.

Zuniga's crown has of course been stripped from here as she is being held for 40 days pending charges on racketeering, drug trafficking, guns and money laundering. Wonder what kind of business insurance you would have for that type of enterprise.
