Pop star Madonna is close to leaving her long-time Warner Bros. Records label for a wide-ranging $120 million deal with concert promotion firm Live Nation Inc., a source familiar with the talks said Wednesday.
The story was first reported on the Wall Street Journal's Web site, which said Madonna would receive a mix of cash and stock in exchange for allowing Live Nation to distribute three studio albums, promote concert tours, sell merchandise and license her name. full story

Madonna Nears New $120 Million Deal
Looks like Madonna will have plenty of money for the kid's animal print bedding now. I know she was really struggling to make ends meet. So glad she was able to get herself at least some money to feed her family.

Imus is back
After getting canned for calling the Rutgers female basketball team "nappy-headed hos", Imus has been with out work for some time. No more. His mailboxes have been full of offers apparently and he is ready to get back on the airwaves on December 1st.
WABC has hired Imus for the morning spot, currently occupied by Curtis Sliwa and Ron Kuby.Imus, recently settled a wrongful-termination lawsuit with his former employers for a reported $20 million.
When asked about Imus' new show, Rutgers women's coach Vivian Stringer said, "He has every right to go back on the air."

'Ebony and Ivory' Named Worst Duet Ever
Yeah...this song is kind of silly. Pretty surprising that it was named the worst duet ever though. This song wasn't exactly unpopular and there ahve been some really bad duets in the past. Someone probably was out there singing about kitchen faucets, or even some sort of Island in the Sea. That song is probably in the same mold as this one was and that isn't mentioned as bad, but one of the best!
In a BBC rankings deal these were the other worst duets:
Runner-Up: 'You're the One That I Want'
Arthur Mullard and Hilda Baker
Other Hideous Duets:
3. 'Dancing in the Street' -- Mick Jagger and David Bowie
4. 'Little Drummer Boy' -- Bing Crosby and David Bowie
5. 'Save Your Love' -- Rene and Renata
6. 'The Girl Is Mine' -- Paul McCartney a Michael Jackson
Some of the Best were:
1. 'Foggy Dew'--Sinead O'Connor and The Chieftains
2.'Fairytale of New York'--Kirsty MacColl and The Pogues
3. 'Under Pressure' -- Queen and David Bowie
4. 'Where the Wild Roses Grow' -- Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue
5. 'Walk This Way' -- Run DMC and Aerosmith
6. 'Islands in the Stream' -- Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton

Check out this Psychic Medium
This guy named Tana Hoy is a Psychic Medium that runs this great site where he does sort of a "Man on the Street" thing with videos. He goes out to the streets and does some future readings with random people and shows it on his site. It is all very interesting to see. He has some audio there as well that you can listen to, and he even has an online Webinar you can register for! What is that? Well it is like taking online classes to learn how to do various Psychic Medium disciplines.
Take some time to browse around the site, and look over his predictions that he has hit on as well. There is plenty to do there and it is a fun time.

Owen Wilson Returns to Public Eye
After spending a few months laying in some modern platform beds after his suicide attempt, Wilson has finally gotten back in front of the camera.
Owen Wilson returned to the public eye Thursday night, making an appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Darjeeling Limited.”
Sporting a shaggy blond beard and a dark jacket, Wilson was joined by fellow cast mates Adrien Brody, Anjelica Huston, Jason Schwartzman and filmmaker Wes Anderson. It was among Wilson’s first public appearances since a suicide attempt in late August.

'24' Star Sutherland Busted for DUI
Another celebrity who is probably on their way to drug rehab. Such a great example the entertainment community sets for our youth.
Kiefer Sutherland, who stars on the hit TV thriller "24" as a secret agent with nerves of steel, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on Tuesday, hours before he was due to be honored by a Canadian actors' union.
The arrest comes three years after the Canadian performer, 40, the son of actor Donald Sutherland, pleaded no contest to a charge of driving under the influence and was ordered into a treatment program for alcohol abuse. more...

Birkhead sued for defamation by ex-lawyer
Larry Birkhead’s ex-lawyer has filed a lawsuit claiming Birkhead attempted to damage her reputation by making defamatory remarks.
Awesome. Sue, sue, and more sue. Not a better business opportunity in America these days I reckon.
Debra Opri’s lawsuit, filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, accuses Birkhead of falsely claiming in a CNN interview with Larry King that she was a source for the book “Blonde Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith’s Death.” more

Silverman calls Spears VMA joke ‘innocuous’
What the hell is "innocuous"? Really I doubt she even knows. After many nights pulled up in a bar stools I'm sure she has quite a few less brain cells than the average person.
Sarah Silverman still is responding to the negative reaction to her Britney Spears jokes at the MTV Video Music Awards.
“The joke that everyone was upset about — me calling the kids ‘adorable mistakes’ — was the most innocuous joke,” the 36-year-old comedian tells Us Weekly magazine in the issue that comes out Friday. “It never occurred to me that would be deemed hurtful or over the line.” more
